I’ll make you come just to watch you leave
Don’t sweat it, it’s over now
And then we do it again
I’ll make you come just to watch you leave
Don’t sweat it, it’s over now
And then we do it again
Are you having trouble finding sleep at night?
Or does your lack of conscience tell you everything’s alright.
when other people wear my shoes. maybe i’m just a germaphobe, but that’s disgusting. i hate feet. they just gross me out a lot, it’s nothing personal. if you’d like to see my shoes, please just ask. there is no need to molest them with your toes.
We used to be best friends. What happened? All I can say is that it hurts me more than you’ll ever know.
Yesterday I was confirmed. It was pretty exciting and was definitely a milestone in my life. It got me thinking, and I think the Big Man Upstairs brought me a passage from the Purpose Driven Life. What is life without love? I never realized how much the word LOVE shows up in the Bible. God said that the two greatest commandments were to love God and to love people. He also said they were equally important. What the heck??? Loving people as much as God? That was a real eye-opener for me. God must REALLY want us to love each other if he said that loving others is equally important as loving him. The world tells us that in order to get into college we must have a thousand achievements. God tells us in order to get into heaven, we must love each other through strong relationships. On the day of judgement, God’s not going to ask me about my grades, or my debate awards…. he’s going to ask me who I loved and how I was a living sacrifice. What matters now is how I love other people. Jesus said to show the world our faith not by religious doctrines, but through our love for each other. God said to be good to everyone always, and to help others in need whenever I can. God showed mercy on us, and we should do the same. What’s important today is not getting my school work done or studying till I pass out. What’s important today is how I love others.
“You see, at just the right time, when we were powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:6-8
I need to stick to this more….. “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it it written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” – Romans 12: 17
I guess this is growing up.
1 Peter 2:21-25 (New International Version)
21To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22“He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”[a] 23When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
this week was a terrible week. it was filled with terrible lies, events, disappointments, stories, and raw truth which can sometimes be the most painful of all. im just glad its over
